Join us for an overnight journey through the Alpujarras, a remote and historic region on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada. This area, known for its whitewashed villages and ancient terraced farms, offers a unique glimpse into rural Spain. Ride along centuries-old paths that wind through deep valleys and past clear mountain streams, experiencing the unspoiled charm of this quiet corner of the world.


Day 1
Transfer from Málaga to our starting point in Bubión, a picturesque village perched at 1,300 meters above sea level, known for its Moorish architecture and ancient terraced fields.
We'll cover 35 km with a 1,000 m climb, rewarded by incredible views of the Sierra Nevada and a taste of traditional Spanish mountain cuisine. The rural and gravel roads we’ll traverse have connected these remote mountain villages for centuries, offering plenty of scenic spots to refuel. Our night’s stay is at the Nueva Alcazaba Hotel, a beautifully restored old mill surrounded by nature that remains as untouched as it was in the days of the Alpujarras' Moorish settlers.

Day 2
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we’ll set off on our return journey, descending through the Trevelez river valley. This area is home to Spain's highest village, Trevélez, famous for its air-cured ham. As we descend, we’ll enjoy sweeping views of the Southern Sierra Nevada, retracing our path from the previous day. The first 15 km is a gentle descent on gravel roads through lush pine forests. After a quick stop to refuel in a nearby village, we'll continue following the river valley down to Órgiva, known for its vibrant markets and bohemian spirit, where the van will meet us for the return to Málaga.

And so we complete this unforgettable journey through the heart of the Alpujarras! We hope this experience will be just the beginning of many more adventures with us across the stunning landscapes of Spain.
